Friday is the lovechild of a simple desire to have fun. Born from a love of the unconventional, we make pieces for girls who like to move, play, and not take it all too seriously.
What began as a search for the perfect pair of women’s boardshorts - ones that didn’t lean too far into floral and pastel or borrow from the boys - quickly grew into something bigger. Today, Friday blurs the line between feminine surfwear and the traditionally masculine surf industry.
Our inspiration is drawn from vintage surf culture. The kind of designs you'd find in old photos and thrift shop racks. Bold colours, contrast stitch, cuts that were made to move in. We've always known surf culture lives beyond the waves - it's a free spirited culture that embraces a sense of community. Friday is for the girl who surfs every day, or the one who's never tried.
We're small, hands on, and honest about it. We work directly with trusted manufacturing partners to bring our designs to life. Always with a focus on quality, intention, and responsible production. Our pricing is fair, we say what we mean, and we give our community a voice. Friday has always been about doing things differently - and that starts with how we make them.
